Golden Ticket Contest – Official Rules

Eligibility

Open to legal residents of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence. Void where prohibited.

Promotion Period

The promotion begins on July 1st, 2025 and ends when all 300 eligible cans containing scratch cards have been sold, or when the promotion is ended by the sponsor.

A live or periodically updated estimate of remaining promotional cans may be provided on marinerscoffee.ca. Once all 300 promotional cans are sold or distributed, the promotion will end.

How to Enter

1. With Purchase

Each can of Mariners Cove Coffee purchased through our website (marinerscoffee.ca) as part of this promotion contains one (1) scratch card.

• You’ll receive one scratch card per can purchased.

• For example, the Combo pack includes two cans and comes with two scratch cards.

• There is no limit to the number of promotional cans or combo packs you may purchase.

Only these 300 cans and 300 scratch cards are part of the promotion—whether sold individually or as part of a combo.

This promotion applies exclusively to purchases made through marinerscoffee.ca.

Scratch Card Location: Each 2.5" x 2.5" scratch card is placed under the lid, above the seal of the can. Be sure to check all contents before discarding.

2. No Purchase Necessary

To enter without making a purchase, send a handwritten letter (minimum 100 words) explaining what time of day you enjoy your coffee and why.

• Typed or printed letters will not be accepted.

• Letters must be handwritten, at least 100 words, postmarked during the promotion period, and received before the final (300th) can is sold.

Limit one no-purchase entry per person. Eligible mail-in entrants will be sent one (1) scratch card by mail while supplies last. Mail-in scratch cards will also include the small consolation item.

Note: Bulk or automated entries, including multiple no-purchase entries from the same person, will be disqualified.

Prizes

Grand Prize

One (1) year’s supply of coffee — 48 cans of 300g Mariners Cove Coffee
Approximate Retail Value: $767.52 CAD
The sponsor covers all shipping costs. Delivery may occur in multiple shipments.

Other Prizes

200 scratch cards reveal prizes, including the grand prize and other small prizes of varying type and value.
Winners are responsible for any shipping or purchase-related costs unless otherwise stated.

Consolation Prizes

100 scratch cards reveal a consolation prize. All cans include a small item associated with the consolation prize.

Prize Redemption

To claim a prize, follow the instructions on your winning scratch card.
Deadline to claim a prize: September 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM Atlantic Time.
Late submissions will not be accepted..

Odds of Winning

• Odds of winning any prize: 2 in 3

• Odds of winning the grand prize: 1 in 300

  Please note: Odds are based on the total pool of 300 printed scratch cards. Results for individual purchases may vary. While statistically unlikely, it is possible to receive multiple non-winning tickets in a single order. Prizes are distributed randomly, and the sponsor does not track who receives which prize.

  If you ordered three or more cans and didn’t win anything, get in touch — we’ll do our best to make it right.

Fairness & Random Distribution

All scratch cards were randomly inserted into cans prior to sale.
The sponsor does not track which customer receives which prize.
This ensures that all prizes are awarded fairly and at random.

Unclaimed Grand Prize

If the grand prize is not claimed by the deadline, it will not be re-awarded.
An update will be posted after the deadline confirming whether the grand prize has been claimed.

Privacy

Personal information submitted for prize redemption or no-purchase entry will be used solely for administering this promotion.
We will never share or sell your personal information.

General Conditions

• 300 scratch cards total: 200 prize messages and 100 consolation messages.

• Prizes are non-transferable. No cash substitutions allowed.

• Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries.

• Fraudulent or tampered entries will be disqualified.

• Participation constitutes acceptance of these rules and the sponsor’s decisions, which are final.

• Prizes will only be shipped within Canada to eligible provinces. Shipping times may vary.
